Metal Fabricator

SkylabSHOP is an innovative studio team tackling specialized fabrications. We are looking for an adaptable metal craftsman eager to excel within a fast-paced setting. Collaborating with creative partners and clients, our craft spans shop fabrication, bespoke finishing, and site assembly to bring unique installations to life.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience

• Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings and utilize this information in production.

• Outstanding abilities in layout and fixturing

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking

• Proficiency in GMAW and GTAW

• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum

• Ability to grind and finish for cosmetic detail

• Professional and reliable

• Experience with computer software including Microsoft Suite.

• Valid Drivers licences

• Able to lift 75 lbs

• Working with the team to plan and execute daily activities within the framework of required project schedules

• Looking ahead and anticipating potential issues 

• Consistently producing high quality work within project specifications

• Strong communication skills including informing your supervisor of project needs
